WALK: & LEARN. with an expert

Join us for a series of guided walks along the Withlacoochee State Trail. Each walk will highlight a unique theme, including hiking trails, history, native plants, environmental protection, birds, wildlife, and more.

On Saturday October 31 WALK along the Tsala Apopka Lakes on the paved trail & LEARN about cleaning up our water and natural resources. We are proud to announce our first walk with TOOFAR Water & Natural Resources Foundation, Inc. Hear about the TOOFAR Board Of Directors. Their Vision is to see the natural, historical and recreational heritage of Florida's Nature Coast be preserved for current and future residents of Citrus County.

Meet at the Inverness trailhead of the Withlacoochee State Trail at the caboose:

How Long: 2 miles/ 2 hour hike

After the hike, at 1:00 meet the organization officers, members and volunteers at their Annual Fundraiser 2026 LAKETOBERFEST at their home base. Join other like-minded people who do the good work for all of us.

2026 LAKETOBERFEST - It’s Like Octoberfest with a Twist

Support youth scholarships and programs focused on education and preservation of Citrus County's freshwater lakes and wildlife.
